Welcome to the month of June in The Podiatry Hive.

It was great to see so many Podiatry Hive Members – past and present, at the recent APodC Conference and Trade Show in Melbourne.

Once again the 3 days were busy with workshops and presentations, and we got to speak with many Podiatry business owners keen to learn more about how they too can work on their own version of a ‘perfect podiatry practice’ …

During the conference Troy delivered a sneak preview of our September Workshop – The Future of Podiatry. It was well received with many workshop delegates eager to join us in September for more. For a closer look at the content in September – take a look below.

How To Prepare A Cash Flow Budget

For some, understanding business finances can be a little like understanding the rules of Cricket!

We get the top 3 rules then after that it all becomes a little hazy and we let the umpire (Accountant) rule.

The primary purpose of using a cash flow budget is to predict your business’s ability to take IN more cash than it pays OUT. This will give you some indication of your business’s ability to create the resources necessary for expansion, or its ability to support you, the business owner.

Join Director, Greg Gunther in June and learn how to create a sales forecast for your business with this invaluable budget.

– How a cashflow budget serves as a useful projection of your podiatry practices in and out expenditures, over a certain period of time.

– What a cashflow budget predicts (and how to monitor this).

– Preparing a sales forecast.

– Projecting your anticipated cash in and out.

– Putting the projections together to come up with your cash flow bottom line.

Buyers Group

A quick reminder the Buyers Group has a Personal Shopper service for Podiatry Hive Members.

You may not have had the need to use this member service yet – but it is available 24/7 for members and is very simple to use.

In a nutshell, our Personal Shopper is Jane (our Superstar Administration Assistant in The Podiatry Hive office). When you need to buy products for your practice, and you just don’t have the time to shop online (or the staff to assist you) for the best deal – complete the online form in the website, and Jane will do the leg work for you, searching for and locating up to three quotes for you from reputable businesses and suppliers.

You might be looking for a new Drill, a new Laser, a microwave for your staff room, a Podiatry Chair or even something as simple as medical supplies. Whatever it is you happen to need – this service is available to AUS, UK and NZ Members.

Cash Flow Budget – Template

Planning and monitoring your cash flow is one of the most important things you can do when running your business.

The 12-Month cash flow budget template is a useful tool for performing a cash flow analysis. This also serve as a guide to tracking your incomings and outgoings.

Based on the Podiatry Hive Chart of Accounts, this template will help you project sources and applications of funds for the upcoming time periods. This should also include how you will address cash shortfalls or surpluses if they occur.

Oops! Did You Miss …
